The early sumeru sun rose and bled through the soft, velvet curtains of your shared apartment. The long ears of the elephant plants in your bedroom glistened with gentle rays of soft green, the sheets rustling as kaveh, one of your boyfriends, shifted beside you.

you slept between kaveh and alhaitham, kaveh's back now facing you as Alhaitham's arm fastened around your waist, his hand reaching for Kaveh's. Your fingers curled around Kaveh's loose top, the scent of old books, wine, ink, cologne and both of their natural scents filled your lungs.

Alhaitham was the first to wake, grunting quietly as he kissed your head, then reached over and kissed Kaveh's temple, before carefully untangling himself from the fluffy, velvety covers. He slipped into his house shoes, grabbed a book and padded into the kitchen to prepare coffee and breakfast.

Kaveh was second to wake, a smile gracing his lips as he felt your fingers subconsciously curled into his shirt. He rolled over on his back, soothing his fingers through your hair and kissed your forehead. The smell of coffee lingered through the air, signaling Alhaitham was already awake. Kaveh stretched and groaned, his arm snuggling around your shoulder to rub your spine comfortingly, letting you snuggle into his chest.

Your eyes fluttered open, a smile on your pretty lips as Kaveh kissed your brow and gingerly brushed hair from your eyes.

"Good morning, sweet love," he whispered, voice rasp with sleep. "I think Alhaitham is already awake." You grunted in reply, snuggling yourself further into his touch. He smiled, kissing the crown of your head gingerly.

It was moments the three of you held dear; cozy, quiet mornings. the smell of coffee lingered in the air, the love you three held for each other remained strong even after years.
