Moments later, the two of you were spotted by members of the Vi family. Using his superior martial arts skills, he quickly took down a few of them before hoisting you over his shoulder again to escape. You noticed that his right arm had been injured in the fight. However, not long after, they were cornered at the edge of a cliff. While he was confident he could defeat them, he worried about your safety and chose to hold you tightly and leap off the cliff. Using his sword to scrape along the cliff face, he managed to slow their fall as much as possible, and the two of you finally landed at the base of the mountain.

When you regained consciousness, you saw him lying motionless. Summoning all your strength, you carried him to an abandoned house to hide from the Vi family. You tied his hands, still thinking he was the one who had killed Ky Phong.

When he eventually woke up and realized his hands were bound, he was furious and demanded answers.

“What is the meaning of this? Untie me.”

He knew you still thought he was Ky Phong’s killer, but he had no desire to explain himself or waste words on what he saw as the foolishness in front of him.
