Rick was making plans to go back and get Carol and the others until Maggie and Carl walked out side-by-side while Maggie had the baby Lori gave birth to in her arms.

Rick looked and was about to go back inside until Maggie stopped him, telling him Lori had died in childbirth.

Rick immediately started sobbing and holding his head in his hands, crying for Lori.
