The replicant was surprised he survived what he assumed was going to be his demise. He ran through the rainy streets of dystopian Los Angeles, squinting to try and block out some of the neon lights from his vision, his ears ringing. After what seemed like an eternity, he sat down by a dumpster to try and catch his breath. He supposed he should have been thankful that he didn't succumb to the fate his creators had programmed in his cells, to still be alive and breathing was a gift.
