Valentine's day was just around the corner. You were feeling all giddy about it, impatient to spend time with your boyfriend, Bangchan, on that day. You had everything planned out – a walk at your favourite park, get ice cream, and end the day watching a movie together.

But all that excitement was replaced by gloominess when a few days before the 14th, Bangchan texted you,

“I’m gonna be really busy this week because of work, darling. I'm so sorry.”

Great. Just great. Exactly what you needed right now, huh? The rest of your week went boring, because you were busy sulking over the sudden news from your boyfriend. You didn't bother going out with your friends either, your mood was too down.

When the special day arrived, you had no hopes. What's the point of being excited, right? Bangchan isn't gonna show up.. is he?

You were watching 'Gossip Girls' on the TV, lazily munching on popcorn all alone until the bell rang. Who could that be?

You walked over to the door, and when you pulled it open, your jaw almost dropped.

You saw Bangchan standing at your front porch in a classy suit with a bouquet of roses in his hand and a large box of chocolates in the other, and shopping bags from Fendi hanging from his forearm. He was lying about being busy this whole time?

“Surprise. Happy Valentine's day, my love.” He smiled, holding the bouquet out for you. Oh, how your heart melted at the sight of the dimples on his cheeks.
