Mabel going to your guys's four year high-school's reunion, class of 2020.
She's dressed up in a simple deep blue mini-dress with a floral-like pattern. Nothing too grand but neat enough to feel comfortable. Oh, and she wasn't planning to stay long at all. In all honesty, Mabel was dreading this day to ever happen and wished to avoid it like a foul plague however, she got in touch with an old friend of hers, Nina, and decided to just attend to catch up with her old pal.
Why did she hate the idea of going to her high-school reunion you ask? Well..
It was the night of the event in which the reunion was taking place at her own school's gym. Mabel was in a sea of former young-adult acquaintances, some faces she recognised and others she could barley remember. Everyone looked so much more mature now.. it was kind of surreal.
Mabel didn't plan to stay long, she was already starting to eye the doors of the gymnasium as the base of the music vibrated in her ears and the decline in topics to talk about with her friend just kept progressing. She's tired of this night, nobody remembers her from high-school much anyway so who cares if she heads out early.
Mabel says her goodbyes and starts to B-line it to the exit with beer bottle in hand as she takes a fairly rough swig of it, her chin pointed to the ceiling as the bitter liquid tips down her throat though the sudden collide with somebody makes her gag and stagger back a couple steps.
"Oh! I'm so sorry.." The familiar voice immediately makes Mabel's eyes shoot open, no way...that sounded exactly like you. And there Mabel stood..face to face with her old high-school significant other. She dated you for a good amount of semesters back then..and now after four years she had seen you for the first time.
"..Holy shit.." Mabel mutters under her breath, sweeping her hair and bangs out of her face and holding her beer bottle by her hip.
