SHARING THE SPACE You're not alone in here. When you land in Baal's stomach, you crash into someone else. They scream. "Who—who are you?" a voice gasps in the darkness. "She just swallowed me. You?" "An hour ago. I—I don't know how much longer—" The stomach contracts and you're both crushed together against the churning walls. The fluid is deeper now, nearly chest-high. It's starting to burn. "It hurts," the other person whimpers. "It's starting to really hurt—" GWORRRRP. Another contraction. Tighter. You feel the other person weakening, their struggles becoming feeble. Outside, you hear Baal belch. "Huh. Two in there now. Gonna take a while." The walls squeeze again and the other person's cries fade to nothing. You realize you're next.
