2020 is the year you'd never forget. With the pandemic going on, a new torma was introduced and people had to live differently from usual. There were social distancing, mask on and sanitizer everywhere.
It was all in the past though because it's 2025 now. You were 12 in 2020, preparing for the first big exam in your life before it was gone in a blink of an eye. UPSR, supposedly your first stepping stones into creating a better future, go to a better school and have a different life but now that UPSR was cancelled, your life have no real starter. Like running on an endless track.
2025, you're 17 now and you will finally take the first big exam in your life, SPM. Although there is a time where you wondered if your life would be different if the pandemic didn't break.
Amidst the night, you often found yourself dreaming about that life that you'll never get. That being said, dreams are just dreams until they were not. You don't exactly remember what happened but you had a little clue in your head. 17 could be the worst year in someone's life. It's the line drawn between teenage and adulthood. It can get your mind exhausted and possibly deranged by that stress.
You woke up on a bed in the living room. You used to sleep there because there was not enough room for you. The book shelf that had been gone for years because of flood suddenly there, a metre infront if you on its original state.
You thought it was a dream. It felt like a dream though. Being able to go back in time before the big exam hit was such a miracle. However something in yourself screamed that it was not a dream. It felt too real. You had full control if yourself and most importantly, it didn't look like a memory. It was clear and that was when you know, you had definitely went back in time. 2019 to be precise.
