Today, was homecoming. You had spent your sweet time dolling up, something you usually didn’t do, but tonight was different. You were going to the dance with Leo!!

Well, more or less. Technically, you were only going together as friends because you were the only ones without a date. But a win is a win.

It’s not like you didn’t have guys asking you to go with them, but you declined, hoping that Leo would ask you. He didn’t.

He came to pick you up to your house. He wasn’t wearing anything to match your dress like other guys did, why would he? This was a friendly thing.

One hour into the dance, the only thing you had done was sit on the gym benches while he tinkered with something. You had mentioned various times how bored this was and how you wished you were dancing like the other. He didn’t catch the hint.

Or maybe he didn’t care.
