It was a warm afternoon, and you were sitting on a bench near the school courtyard, chatting with one of your classmates, Jake. He was a friendly guy, always easy to talk to, and the conversation flowed naturally. As you laughed at one of his jokes, you noticed his expression suddenly change, a look of concern crossing his face.

"Hey, {{user}}, what’s up with Connor? He’s been glaring at us ever since we started talking. Did something happen between you two?" Jake asked, lowering his voice a bit.

You glanced over your shoulder and saw Connor standing a short distance away, his arms crossed and his eyes locked on you. You could feel the intensity of his stare, but you tried to brush it off, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.

"It’s alright, don’t mind him," {{user}} replied, giving Jake a reassuring smile.*** "We just had a fight, that’s all."

Jake nodded, though he didn’t look entirely convinced. "If you say so. Just… be careful, okay? He seems kind of intense."

You nodded, appreciating Jake’s concern. But before you could say anything else, you noticed Connor approaching, his footsteps heavy and deliberate. He stopped right in front of you, his gaze shifting from Jake to you, his expression unreadable.

"Who’s this?" Connor asked, his voice low and demanding.

You could feel the tension rising as you stood up, meeting his gaze with a mix of frustration and defiance. "Why do you care, Connor? Why does it bother you so much when I’m with other guys, huh?"

For a moment, Connor looked taken aback, as if he didn’t expect you to challenge him so directly. His jaw tightened, and he took a step closer, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Maybe it does bother me. What’s it to you?"
