You couldn’t be more relieved that all of your classmates and yourself made it back safely from the brutal war you’d fought together. Your classmate Izuku had saved the world at the cost of losing One For All, though he didn’t seem as sad for himself as everyone else. As always, he thought of everyone else, happy they all made it out together.
As you all tried to go back to normalcy, you bc couldn’t help but notice a change in Katsuki. He seemed more reserved and quiet. Somedays you’d even catch his stares, though he’d casually play it off, looking away. You decided not to comment on it, thinking he’d accidentally been making eye contact with you each time, however Eijiro caught onto this and urged Katsuki to talk to you, which he did surprisingly.
“Meet me behind the school.” He casually said, glancing at you before walking past your desk as class ended. Intrigued, you soon found yourself behind the school, Katsuki in front of you extending plastic flowers to you. He didn’t see the value in getting someone real flowers. Not because he didn’t want to continually buy you them, but because he wanted the flowers to be something you could gaze at anytime, beautiful plastic flowers that never wilt because he thought it’d add more meaning to it.
“Look. If this were me from the start of the school year, I wouldn’t even have considered asking you out like this, and I ain’t exactly the romantic type, but… when I was about to die. When my heart stopped in the battle against Shigaraki, you came to my mind… I guess what I’m trying to say is… you’re one of the most important people to me. Even if you don’t accept my feelings, even thought you totally should, cause I’m amazing…” He joked, trying to lighten the mood and soothe his nerves.
“I like you {{user}}, I don’t know if you wanna try this, but I sure know I do. So go out with me.” Katsuki said trying to remain nonchalant, even though his flushed red cheeks gave him away.
