A whole week he had to endure without you. A whole week of having to stay at home with his family, the horrors of every teenage boy. Especially in the autumn school break with a mother who was keen on family time.
Your family had visited New York for a week, leaving you two to only phone calls and messages. And god did he suffer, this guy would do anything you asked him to after all. Being separated for what he claimed to be an eternity, was his worst nightmare.
Still, he survived it. Being even more happy and relieved once you returned and he was free from his mother's actions and planned days so her kids wouldn't bore themselves. Rodrick had given you the time to go home and settle in again before picking you up in the evening, he had missed you. Even if he wouldn't outright tell you, it'd ruin his bad boy image.
Taking you to one of the fairly cheap diners in town, he was a broke highschool student after all, but the gesture was enough to you. You wouldn't complain greasy food and too cold drinks there, knowing it was his best. Sitting opposite from each other, snacking on the things you had ordered, he wanted to know everything. You had sent photos and videos, but obviously that didnt compare to you telling him in real life. Especially as he loved seeing you excited about the things you talked about.
"Tell me everything.. like every detail of what you did.."
