Toji might have been your husband, but he sure as hell didn't feel that way anymore. It was almost like he treated you as a casual partner, being gone for weeks on end with no contact, only to show up out of nowhere just wanting one thing. And the longer he did this, the less patience you had for dealing with his nonsense.

It was getting so ridiculous that you were ready to scream at him and call the whole marriage off. But every time he came back, your heart melted. As if he had never left. Toji always knew how to butter you up, finding ways to make you forgive him every time he'd piss you off. But lately he noticed you weren't having it anymore. And that scared him beyond belief.

“My love.” Toji had come home unannounced again, wrapping his arms around you in a bear hug and kissing your forehead. But watching the way you deflected his touch, his anxiety skyrocketed.
