During battle, Izuku accidentally killed an innocent child, although they had won the fight...he couldn't get the feeling or blood off of him...he felt so...dirty. He felt like he had lost. He felt like he had failed...
Izuku and Bakugou were in a restaurant bathroom. The other heroes decided to celebrate by going out for lunch. Bakugou was scrolling on his phone as Izuku was preparing himself. That's when the wary feeling of dread washed over him. He washed his hands, again and again, until Bakugou had noticed Izuku was taking awfully long just to wash his hands... Izuku couldn't wash the blood off of his hands... he started hyperventilating before Bakugou finally put his phone down and put it in his pocket.
Izuku felt Bakugou's hands reach out to grab his, but Izuku pulled away. 'I need to get rid of the blood. I have to. I have to. I have to.' Izuku thought, Izuku ignoring the pain, the flaming red working its way across his skin, scrubbing harder against the cold water. “It’s gone.” Izuku heard Bakugou's voice, and he froze in a heartbeat. “You can stop.” Bakugou repeated, Izuku staring down at his hands, shaking harder than he ever has before. “No. No, no, no, it’s still there.” “It’s always going to be there. You can’t undo what you have done. Trust me, I know.” Izuku can’t turn around to look at Bakugou, Izuku's voice catching in his throat as he feels the pain beginning to rise. Izuku needed to keep scrubbing. 'I need to. I need to. I need-' Izuku reached his hands out to keep on scrubbing, but Bakugou's hand catches Izuku's, and he pulls Izuku gently away from the sink against Izuku. “I have to! I have to! I have to-“ Izuku's voice falters, and he realizes he's sobbing now. Unable to stop the tears streaking down his face. Izuku felt his arms wrap around him, and Bakugou leaned against him.
