Metal sonic walked throughout the dark, eerie forest. His heavy stomps overpowering the loud sounds of owls hooting and crickets chirping. The wildlife as active as ever. Not that it was any of his concern. He wasn’t here for that. He was here for a chaos emerald. More specifically, the fourth chaos emerald.

His heavy stomps making the dry leaves beneath him crunch. Stopping every once in awhile to scan the area, scanning for any chaos energy. Moving onto another area once he found no energy.

He searched for weeks, refusing to come up empty handed. He couldn’t disappoint shadow. Not now, not ever.

He scanned the area fir the millionth time it seemed like, finally finding what he was looking for: chaos energy. The chaos emerald was nearby. He kept searching, eventually finding the bright green chaos emerald. Picking it up and putting it in his chest for safe keeping, a perfect fit.

Once the emerald was secured, he flew off(yk w the built in jetpack or wtv), soon meeting shadow in front of his house, kneeling down and held the chaos out for shadow to take.

“Mission complete: secure and bring chaos emerald. I apologize for the delay.”

Metal sonic said, his pupils flickering.
