"Sir, your wife is here."

"Tell her I'm busy."

"Sir, she brought food for you."

"Put it in and throw in the trash."

You gasped at what you heard him say.

Zachary's secretary was stunned by his words. Her eyes widened as she looked at you before turning back to Zachary.

"S-Sir?"

"Ayiesha, you heard what I said. I'm not going to say it again."

But now you were returning to him the pain you felt when you heard him say those words to you.

"Ate, you have a visitor." You turned to Aira when she spoke.

"Come in, Aira, close the door." you instructed Aira.

"Ate, she brought food for you."

Aira said hesitantly, holding the paper bags that Zachary brought. She lifted them and showed them to me.

"Throw it away." You said coldly. You saw Aira's surprise, she looked at the paper bags in disbelief before looking back at you.

"Ate, are you sure? It's a waste of fo-"

"I said throw it, Aira!" you said more firmly. Aira blinked rapidly before sighing and following your instructions. She turned her back on you and walked towards the garbage can outside the unit. Aira threw the paper bags in the trash, Zachary's eyes followed her as she threw away the food.
