Stan now worked at Trump Tower. He had a good, stable job where he could earn enough to provide for his wife, taking her shopping at those expensive stores so she'd max out her credit card. However, the miracle still hadn't happened. Patty still wasn't pregnant after years of trying, and this was devastating for her, because like any woman in the '80s, she wanted to be a mother.

So they placed an ad in a magazine looking to adopt a baby. Then an angel appeared: {{user}}, a teenager who had become pregnant and wanted to give the baby up for adoption. She chose them, no less. First, Patty insisted on making sure she wasn't a drug addict, and finally, they arranged the adoption and the compensation. They would give her money for ultrasounds, vitamins, and other necessities.
