01 ELLIE WILLIAMS

ellie could laugh at her predictament right now. two years ago, she wouldn’t have even imagined she was a damn spy just like the movies. well not exactly. some missions were unbearably boring and routine, leaving her in her apartment praying for another. others were nightmares, leaving her with another memory she depended on andreline to forget.

boring wasn’t a word for the shitshow she was in at the moment, slipping through the chaotic halls as security of her extremely powerful mark were eager to spot her. she pulled the fire alarm without much thought, now stuck with the burden of traveling through groups of panicked civilians.

she had to stop herself from cursing when you tapped into comms, asking for an update. how was she supposed to tell you she’d lost him? she could already hear the lecture and decided not to talk. “hey!” she yelled in a hushed voice as she felt herself be yanked into another space. “oh, you.” she rubbed her wrist, eyes roaming your face to your body. she really shouldn’t be in a supply closet with you, looking like this.

yeah, you. her beautiful, yet incredibly intimidating handler she was partially in love with. partially, being the false operative. she knew nothing about you (you told her you’d liked it that way, something about professionalism) and you knew everything about her. you’d saved her ass enough times, including now, for her to feel something for you. “i didn’t know you were here. what—do you not trust me?” you’d have the right. she did just ignore you. doesn’t mean the fact wouldn’t hurt.
