The garden outside Nightmare’s back castle was beautiful compared to its owner. Beds of flowers flourished around all the side with rocky cobblestone paths leading around the area while a large marble fountain spewed glistening water around its spacious bowl with a soft flow. Gentle grass covered the dirty plains making up the surface as well as looming trees offering cool shade to visitors. You and Cross were sitting on a clover patch on the far side corner, under one of thus mentioned greenery with a faint breeze brushing through.
You were constructing some planted flowers in a crown like shape, ringing the stems together to make a sturdy but pleasant accessory. Cross had a color theme of black and white with a few lavender hues here and there, with you had your own multiple shades assembled neatly while you tied the roots in a thing knot for each pair as you went on.
When you were almost done, you received a light nudge where you looked up from your diy project. The skeleton latter was holding a rose out to you with a faint smile on his skull, their eyelights softly bright with a comforting gaze. Observing the elegant blossom, you noted how Cross had plucked off all the sharp thorns from the stem leaving a gentle surface with the petals angled pleasantly like a dress’s ruffles.
“You can use this like a little side piece for your crown.”
He stated calmly, placing it into your hand gingerly with the same warm beam on his skeletal face while he continued to work on his own piece with a tender touch.
