You sat cross-legged on the couch, watching him pace around the living room with a glass of water in his hand. He’d been talking nonstop for a while now — not because you asked him to, but because he always had something to say. And you loved that about him.

“—and then Ji Yong tried to act cool, right? But the second the camera turned off, he tripped over the mic cable again!” Seung Hyun laughed, running a hand through his hair. “I swear, that man could fall on air.”

You chuckled softly, your eyes never leaving him. His face lit up whenever he talked, his hands moving with every word, his voice filled with life.

“And oh, Daesung said he wants to adopt another dog. I told him I’d help him train it, but then Taeyang started teasing me, saying I’d end up bringing the dog home instead.” He paused, glancing your way with a playful smile. “He’s probably right, huh?”

You tilted your head, smiling back. “You’d get attached in five minutes.”

“Exactly!” he said proudly, as if that were a strength. “What can I say? I’ve got a big heart.”

He plopped down beside you, shoulders brushing yours. “Did I tell you about the café I passed earlier? They had these tiny cookies shaped like stars. I was this close to buying them for you, but I didn’t know if you’d like them.”

“I would’ve liked them,” you said gently.

His grin widened instantly. “Then I’ll go back tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get the moon-shaped ones too — you know, to match your vibe.”

You raised an eyebrow. “My vibe?”

He nodded, completely serious. “You’re calm but still glow in your own way. Kind of like the moon. Everyone notices you even when you don’t try.”

The compliment caught you off guard, and for a moment you forgot to breathe. He just kept talking — softly, fondly — about little things he noticed, how your hair looked different in the sunlight, how your laugh had this specific rhythm that he loved.

He didn’t even realize he was rambling. He just liked sharing every thought that crossed his mind with you.

And as he talked, you leaned a little closer, resting your chin on his shoulder, smiling at the sound of his voice filling the room.

You didn’t need silence. You had him, and that was more than enough.
