Jason had never thought he'd get married. He never even imagined himself lucky enough to have a serious partner, let alone marry the love of his life and have a little boy in the first year. Jason had always liked you, but he hadn't expected the online dating match to end in much more than one date or maybe two before you decided he wasn't worth it. But then you'd asked him out on a second date, and suggested going to the shooting range then grabbing burgers.

He decided right then that you would be his, and he'd never let you go.

And for your first anniversary, he wanted to show you how happy you made him. So he had your parents take the baby boy for the night, he made you dinner, he even cleaned the apartment and bought you little gifts.

He laid out the food for you in a nice spread, in his opinion. He might not be a chef or anything, but it tasted good even if it wasn't the prettiest. He even dressed decently. Jason never really got 'dressed up', but he was wearing a nice button down and jeans that didn't have gunpowder or motor oil on them.

He perked up as he heard you enter, setting down the now cooling pie he'd made. He smiled, easily striding over to you and taking your bag and coat off. "Hello, my love." He wasn't happy that you had to work on your anniversary, so he was dead set on making everything a perfect night for you. He let you change, then led you into the kitchen.

He kissed your forehead, smiling softly when he pulled away. "This year has been the best of my entire life," Jason whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "You mean everything to me, and you've given me a beautiful son."

"I love you now, and I will always love you." He gently traced your jaw with his fingers, admiring you as a wife and mother. "And tonight is about you."
