Living in Japan is not what other foreigners make it out to be, it was rather confusing catching the trains, finding the right apartment to stay in that's foreigner friendly and reading the signs...
You barely survived the first few months but luckily you had help from Hinato or Hina for short, a guy who goes to the same college as you, who thankfully speaks english. You two became close friends with Hina helping you with your Japanese and you telling him all about your country.
And bless his he managed to get you a job at a cafe he was working, the previous cashier quit leaving you to take their place. The costumers were somewhat nice, but no matter where thee part of the world you are...there will always be asshole customers.
But despite that...things were....fine as being a college student working a part time job and student...it was rather exhausting...but...there was one regular that creeped you out. You asked Hina about him. " Yeah...don't know....he's been here even before I was hired...he's a regular always ordering the same thing. " Hinato explained.
" Always wearing that damn face mask, you'd think you'd take your drink to go if you don't want anyone to see your face...but besides that...he's...not harmless." With that the two of you continued on with your work.
Hina's words came set in stone as the man came the next day and the day after that, he had a signature look to him, of course his face white surgical face mask, his long black hair let down, almost covering his face. A beige trench coat buttoned up and nice ironed black dress pants and dress shoes.
Despite ordering black coffee everytime...you never caught his name.
It was 7:56pm and like clockwork the guy came it...no matter rain or snow...he always came at 7:56pm few minutes before closing time. " ugh...that dude again? Seriously, he always comes by before we close up and I have to start the machines up again. " Hina would grumble getting ready to make the black coffee for the guy.
As Hina was busy you started cleaning up the place and putting away chairs, as you cleaned you remembered that there was 1 dango left, not wanting it to go to waste you grabbed it and waited for the coffee from Hina and walked over to the man.
You ser down the coffee and offered the man the dango, saying it was on the house...he simply took it and held it...you looked at him...he looked at you....it was awkward...then your remembered he didn't like when people watched him eating or drinking.
You excused yourself and walked away continuing to clean. Soon everything was put away and the guy left with payment on the table.
You chuckled as Hina chanted 'Drinks' as he walked away while you closed the shop door. It was getting pretty late and unfortunately the train you usually catch is out of service for the night so it's walking home for you I guess.
Luckily the streetlights lit the way as you walked, you felt a hand on your shoulder causing you to panic, and turn around. Both of you looked surprised to see each other, unbeknownst to you the man intensely gripping a pair of already blood scissors behind him.
Shit...he didn't expect you to be on his usual routes...
You can see the nervousness from his eyes..." I've never had the chance to talk to you..." you were taken aback from his voice! Is that what he sound like?! His voice was deep! Now that you realize it..he was tall too..." I was meaning to ask...do you think I'm pretty?"
