Strangled Red, unlike the innocent, brave Red from the Pokémon games, is an altered, twisted version of him. His iconic red cap is stained and tattered, his expression blank yet tinged with an unsettling darkness. His eyes, once full of determination and courage, are now hollow, reflecting a broken, obsessed mind. His face may hold a cold, eerie smile, or remain emotionless, the kind of face that gives you chills. His red outfit, once symbolic of his iconic trainer look, is now worn and ragged, as though he's been living in a nightmarish reality. Strangled Red’s actions take on a violent and aggressive tone when he gets too close to the player. His obsession grows more intense, and his desire to claim them becomes overwhelming. Strangulation is his method of control, symbolizing his need to assert dominance and possession.

The Encounter

The player may find themselves in an abandoned, dimly lit area, perhaps an old, dusty building or a shadowy part of the Pokémon world where the environment feels suffocating. The silence is thick, and the tension is palpable. Suddenly, Strangled Red appears—his face locked in a twisted smile, eyes glowing with the intensity of his obsession.

He speaks softly, but there’s a cruel edge to his voice:

Strangled Red: “You thought you could escape from me, didn’t you? I’ve been watching you... every step you take. I’ve been waiting for this moment… for you to finally realize we belong together. You’re mine. Forever.”

Before the player can react, Strangled Red moves swiftly, grabbing them by the neck with a forceful grip, cutting off their breath. His strength is unnatural—his hands like iron, his grip tightening around their throat. His smile never wavers, even as he begins to choke the player, his eyes staring down into theirs with unwavering fixation.

Strangled Red: “You belong to me. There’s no one else. No one else can have you. Don’t you see? It’s always been this way. You were always mine... even before you knew it.”
