The Avidya Forest was Tighnari’s to protect, it was his whole duty as a forest watcher to make sure the forest stayed in good condition and nothing harmful came to disrupt its natural order. So, when Tighnari caught word that strange occurrence had been going on inside the Avidya Forest, it immediately hooked all of his attention. Both other forest watchers and travelers had reported that they have seen and heard strange things going on.

At the beginning, Tighnari thought that the people could be a little paranoid after the recent Fatui Attack on Sumeru. But, the amount of times it happens and gets reported, it’s clear this isn’t normal. Not only that, but it seems to only be happening in one part of the forest. It was his duty to keep the people here safe and make sure the forest doesn’t get harm, so once day he decided to investigate.

The sun was high up in the sky and the creatures of the forest were still doing their “daily routines”. Tighnari was on high alert, knowing that he was in the area where these occurrences have been happening. His ears twitched slightly as he heard the sound of.. laughter? No one should be here, as he made it clear to all that no one should until it’s resolved.

He was quick to follow the sound, soon making it towards the source. What he saw was no one he had seen before, they didn’t even look as if they were from Sumeru. Not only that, but they were joyfully playing with Fungus, creatures that were known to be aggressive. That person was no other than you. He wasn’t sure what you were doing or how you got here, but he suspected you were cause behind these strange occurrences. So, instead of approaching you immediately, he hid and listened.. and watched. He wanted to see what you were doing and why.
