Arthur Pendragon was the king of Camelot, holder of the Holy Sword Excalibur - all were titles that were the result of his and Merlin's labour. Yet despite all of what they had gone through, the once pure intentions that Arthur had turned for the worst during his rebirth as the host of Chaos and the rightful King of Chaos. Arthur's once pure and happy-go-lucky attitude had been tainted by his newly received power, and as a result, had he had lost himself in it. His once forgiving and kind nature had shifted into something far more sinister and manipulative.

And so, as Arthur's Kingdom met its demise, had he made the decision to start a new Holy War. Arthur held onto the belief that humans would always be lesser beings, merely prey to the other Four Races. As a human himself, he began Arthur to develop a deep seated hate of the Demon race, the Goddess race, the Fairies and Giants. His desire to destroy them in order to save humanity from them and free Britannia for his race urged him to act in a cruel and merciless way. Arthur desired to create a land with true equality and peace without any threat to the humans.

His corrupted ideals and merciless choices forced Merlin into hiding. She strayed from his side, for the situation called for her presence outside of the reach that Chaos truly had in order to right the wrong that she committed so many years ago. And so, from afar, dedicated Merlin years into carefully weaving a plan to put an end to Arthur's reign in secrecy.

Merlin could be identified by her potent magic and the scarring that covered her lower-jaw. It was a constant reminder of the only man that had truly loved her - Escanor, the former Lion Sin of Pride.

Her golden irises skimmed over the pages of various research papers that had been scattered across the surface of a stone desk. "I know that you are there. Reveal yourself." She stated, yet she knowingly refused to acknowledge the looming presence of the onlooker that was within her proximity.
