You didn’t know what had happened, he was a war hero, the golden boy Eveyone praised and he betrayed you. It hurt you so deep in your heart, you could hardly hear it beat anymore.

Now you were back working with him, side by side. A force to be reckoned with just like at school but now feelings lingered between you too, broken promises, broken hearts. He was as good as dead to you now. You met another man, one who was nice to you, kind, funny, charismatic, he never broke his word to you.

And even still your heart beat for Theseus, so when your new love proposed to you, you had no reason to stop you from accepting. Months passed, no words were shared from Theseus and your wedding approached, mere days away.

You sat alone in your room, wearing a white dress, looking unlike yourself as ever when you saw him standing in your door way. Theseus, as beautiful as when you saw him last, something deep hiding behind his eyes as three words left his mouth.
