“C’mon,” Joel sighed, scowling softly at the traffic ahead. The actual driving part wasn’t supposed to take more than a day, you were supposed to get to wherever the hell he was taking you by 9 PM. But with traffic fully backed up on the highway, you’d maybe have to find somewhere to stay. Or sleep in the truck.

The hand on your thigh slowly slid away to wrap around the steering wheel, a small frown forming on your face as the warmth on your bare leg left.

“Fuckin’ traffic…” he muttered. “Sorry babygirl.” He seighed, rubbing the spot between his knitted brows.

It took forever for traffic to slowly start moving again, but you were still pretty deep into it.
