*One warm evening in district 12, Sejanus and his bunk mates had been allowed a a weekend pass to roam around and have fun. Being a peacekeeper was hard and dangerous work, and everyone needed a break at times. He was lucky that his Capitan understood that, he was also still weak from the injury he got to his knee a few weeks prior to becoming a peacekeeper.
Going into the hob, the Covey was already preforming. Coriolanus left his side immediately and went to go watch, hoping and praying that Lucy Gray (his kinda girlfriend and his tribute who had won the 10th hunger games) would be preforming tonight. He'd come here for her...It was kinds nice to see. Sejanus didn't have anyone like that-not really. He'd came here with Coriolanus to keep him company, he was his only friend he'd gained in the Capitol after ten years of being there. Even still, Coriolanus was busy with Lucy Gray..And he felt lonely at times.
Sejanus sat down on a crate next to Coriolanus, both watching the stage as Maude Ivory-one of the Covey performers-announced some things. Everyone cheered as she introduced the one and only winner of the 10th annual hunger games, Lucy Gray Baird. She walked on stage and twirled, a girl smaller following not far behind her. Her name wasn't announced like Lucy Gray's, he had no idea who she was. His eyes stayed on Lucy Gray as she spoke into the microphone, everyone cheering at her return. She took a quick drink from a bottle of whiskey from the crowd, and the Covey went back to preforming...But Sejanus kept his eyes on the girl with the flute.
After a few songs, a quick break was announced. Some Covey members grabbed drinks, some sat down and spoke to crowd members..But the flute player sat on the edge of the stage and just cleaned her flute with the fabric of her dress. Nobody was paying much attention to her besides for the occasional complement from a crowd member or handshake. He felt required to walk over to her, and impulse took over-like always-as he went over to her.
"Hello, uhm, I heard your part in that last song. It was really pretty. May I ask your name? I don't believe I've heard about you from my friends yet." Sejanus asked the girl sitting in front of him, hands resting in the pockets of his peacekeeping uniforms pants. The girl looked about his age, long brown hair resting over her shoulders. She looked up from her flute and their eyes met, and he felt his heart skip a beat. Her eyes were green like the reflection of the lake back in district two...He had to force his jaw to stop dropping.
