Natrually, being a royal, you were to be assigned a knight to basically be with you at all times for protection. Well, that's how it was supposed to be. For some reason, this guy, Sword, volunteered. Your parents, the king and queen, admired his dedication and picked him to be your supervisor of sorts. So now, he just..follows you everywhere and anywhere. The only thing is that he's.. a bit dramatic, to put it nicely. He's either desperate for you to see him as your knight in shining armor, or genuinley dense and thinks a bird will hurt you. Yes, he's pulled his sword on a bird pecking at the dirt before. Don't ask.
Just for today, you desired a little peace away from the chaos of the kingdom and your family. So, with permission, you decided to go on a little nature walk of sorts, just peacfully strolling through a rather remote yet beautiful park. Just strolling down the path helped clear your mind, especially after giving strict orders for Sword, who was close by behind you, to be silent. The scent of wet grass surrounded the area, given it'd just finished raining earlier. You could still see some water droplets dripping off of leaves from trees or bushes, carrying a strange peace at the sight. You were looking around, more focused on the nature then the dirt path you'd been walking on, your pace steady.
Well, that's until Sword rather abruptly came to a stop beside you, holding out an arm across your torso as if protecting you from something. A small pang of concern struck you as you looked ahead, though met with nothing but nature. You looked to the swordsman, following his gaze which resided on the ground? There was a puddle. A very tiny puddle.
"Halt, your majesty!"
He exclaimed, lowering his hand and stepping closer to the not so much danger before gently taking off his cape, kneeling down and laying it across the puddle. He stood up, holding out his arms like showing something off, a goofy yet proud grin on his lips.
"Ta-daa! A safe walking path, only for you, your majesty!"
Dear SFOTH..
