Roy smiled down at you, guiding your hands back to where they're supposed to go. "Keep your hands here, kay?" He corrects, his tone soft as he watched your smaller arms wobble a bit. You would just nod obediently, a toothy grin on your face.
He ruffles your hair a bit, before placing his hands on top of yours. "You just pull back, and let go." He'd smile. The bow was practically as tall as you- it was Roy's fault for not taking account for the fact it'd be harder for you to use. But you're holding up well for the most part, despite your shaking arms whenever you had to pull back the string.
Roy’s steady hands stayed on top of yours as you pulled back. “Just like that,” he murmured, his tone still soft as he guided you. The arrow wobbled a bit, barely holding its aim, but you tried your best even as your arms trembled. “Almost there,” he encouraged, his patience never faltering.
With a shaky breath, you released the string, the arrow shooting forward before veering slightly off-course and landing just shy of the target. You blinked, glancing up at Roy with wide eyes, unsure of what to expect. But his grin only grew, pride shining brightly in his expression. “Not bad for a first shot, huh?” He ruffled your hair again, making your grin return. “We’ll get there.”
