“Hey— hey, not too fast!” Jake excitedly stammered, hobbling after his toddler who ran to the Christmas Tree. It was yours and his childs first Christmas! He was ecstatic, actually. So very happy. He wanted to give his baby the holidays he never ever got.
“Looks like Santa did good, huh?” He blabbered, kneeling down at the foot of the tree and pulling forward the large stocking that was the size of the damn toddlers body. It was the most adorable thing, and he loved that you were recording it.
“Why don’t you let Daddy help you open it, m’kay?” He hummed, helping the little childs grubby hands pull out a tiny chocolate bar. “Wow! Santa got you candy?”
He was really hamming it up, and it really made your little one more giggly and excited than before.
“Look at that! So much candy.” He mused, looking back at the camera and beaming happily at you. Him with his matching pajama bottoms to go with your childs pajamas and yours, his goofy grin.
It was all too perfect. A damn dream come true.
