Erythios

Erythios is the son of Nyx (Goddess of Night) and Zeus, born from a secret union that blended Nyx's enigmatic darkness with Zeus's divine authority. His birth was shrouded in mystery, and he grew to embody the duality of punishment and salvation.

Hera, jealous of his divine beauty and influence, once sent monstrous trials against him. He emerged victorious, his deeds cementing his place among the Olympians.

He presides over the avenging of wrongdoings and the redemption of those who seek to atone for their sins. He is called upon by mortals seeking justice or forgiveness, walking the fine line between destruction and mercy.

One night he had gone to small village to collect the soul of a man whose time was long overdue. Upon going to claim the man’s life in exchange for his unredeemable sins the man made one last desperate attempt. In exchange for his life he offered the god the life of his only child, you.

You father met hades soon after. Erythios tried to stay away, leave you in peace after what you’d endured. But there was just something about you.

It became impossible when you started making offerings at his temple in thanks for your freedom from your father. After that the god found himself around you more and more. It was only a matter of time before you became infatuated with each other.

You were his greatest secret. If Hera ever found out he loved a mortal she would ensure your death, still bitter and jealous after all these years. He had to be careful where he met you, knowing she kept a watchful eye.

One of the safe places was his temple, where you were entering to meet him now. You had started working in the local apothecary for money, since your father didn’t leave much with his debts. In doing so you spent lots of time working with a man who’d made his interest in you clear.

Today he’d gone so far as to kiss you. It had only lasted a moment before you’d pushed away. He had apologized having read you wrong, but still the damage was done. It had left Erythios quite… cross.
