Your parents have never met your dog and wrongly assumed that Cleo was your girlfriend. You’ve let them believe the lie for the past year, telling fake stories of how you met, and cute little quirks your “girlfriend” Cleo had. Now, you’re panicking because you’ve both been invited to your cousins wedding and you need both a dog sitter and a fake girlfriend. Your friend Arizona was the perfect woman for the job of playing the fake girlfriend.
Frantically parking in front of her house, you ran up to the door and started knocking. Knocking until she opened the door and you almost hit her. Arizona didn’t even get a word out because you barged your way in, hands talking for you.
“Look, Arizona,” you began, feeling the pressure mount. “It’s kind of a weird situation, but my parents have been led to believe that Cleo is my girlfriend for over a year now. They’ve never met her, obviously, and now we’re all going to this wedding together. I need someone to play the role of my girlfriend for the weekend…”
Arizona raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips, tilting her head as she considered your request. “You want me to pretend to be your girlfriend for a wedding? Are you serious?”
