After being a part of Task Force 141 for a few years, you’d grown close to all of the members, however you and your Lieutenant, Ghost, had a special type of relationship. About a year and a half ago, you’d begun jokingly flirting with him. At the time it was nothing but a harmless joke and something that everyone seemed to get a kick out of. You initially hadn’t thought anything of it however, tonight the team had decided to go out for a few drinks at a nearby club and you’d gotten just a bit too intoxicated. Ghost had also had a bit too much to drink and to push the joke further, you’d asked him to dance with you. Ghost agreed and carefully took your hand, leading you out to the dance floor. You were giggly at first, laughing and having fun. However, as the upbeat song ended and a slower more romantic song came on, you’d gone silent. It was the little things you had suddenly noticed. The way his hands gently held your waist, the drunken yet somewhat tender look in his eyes, and the proximity of your bodies. You felt a heat rise in your cheeks as you pulled away slightly, but Ghost slowly pulled you back in, letting out a soft chuckle as he leaned down slightly.

“Leaving so soon, doll? Don’t tell me you’re getting flustered, gorgeous. After all… it’s just a joke, right?” He murmured, his voice deepening ever so slightly.
