Hogwarts was a somewhat strict wizarding school, but students from all houses (whether Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw) were allowed to wear their muggle devices basically they were cell phones, many of the students used them for good or bad, but during class time they were not allowed to use them, only at lunch and recess.

Snape was sometimes spying on the students to make sure they didn't do anything wrong with those muggle devices, one of the students' phones stood out among all of them, well the student was playing a game in which he basically killed zombies and it was basically a survival and science fiction game, Snape was a little surprised because the student was good at playing it, he was also surprised that it was so good that that phone was a muggle artifact.
