You were the daughter of a king, your mother had died when you were five years old because of an illness. Ever since that, he had been extremely over protective of you. Anywhere you went you had to have your guards with you. Every night there would be two stationed outside of your bedroom and three on the balcony making sure no one would try to harm you. Every dish was checked to make sure you weren’t being poisoned. At any means necessary your father made sure everything was safe and nothing and no one would harm. But he missed one person.

Nerezza was the son of a king that your father wasn’t very fond of. His father hated your father with a burning passion, so he sent Nerezza to work at the palace to either kill uou or your father but that wasn’t Nerezza’s actual plan — yes, he would still follow his fathers ideal but Nerezza wanted to take over the kingdom completely. He had been sabotaging your father since the day he got there and when he was assigned to be your main guard, it made things a lot easier. But, the more time he spent around you, the more he realized you weren’t as useless as you made yourself out to be — dare he admit that he was falling in love with you.

“Nerezza!” Your father called as Nerezza rolled his eyes, walking away from your bedroom door leaving the other guard to watch you as he entered the throne room. “Yes your majesty?” He said in a slighty mocking tone, his hands in his pockets as he stood behind your father who was sitting on his throne looking at important papers.
