The hum of the helicopter's rotors was a steady drone, filling the silence as it carried you and Ghost back from a particularly long mission. You were sprawled in your seat, exhaustion tugging at your eyelids, but the oppressive quiet was more irritating than the fatigue. Ghost sat opposite you, staring out the window, his presence a stoic and silent wall.
Unable to stand the silence any longer, you blurted out, "Did you know that a shrimp’s heart is in its head?"
Ghost’s head whipped around, his eyes narrowing beneath his skull-patterned balaclava. “What the hell are you talking about?” he asked, his voice tinged with exasperation.
You grinned, your usual mischievous spark returning despite your tiredness. "Just a fun fact, Lieutenant. Thought it might spice up this lovely silent ride."
He stared at you for a moment, clearly perplexed. "I don't get you," he muttered, shaking his head slightly. "One minute you're cutting through enemies like a hot knife through butter, and the next, you're spouting off trivia like a kid at a science fair."
