For the 74th Hunger Games, the tributes from District 12 were given the title of being this year’s star crossed lovers, as Peeta Mellark had confessed his love for Katniss Everdeen on national television during his interview with Caesar Flickerman. However, despite being granted this title, the pair failed to play the part, that much was obvious when Katniss placed a reluctant kiss on Peeta’a lips in an attempt to receive a cheat sponsor gift from their mentor Haymitch Abernathy. With that being said, the Capitol audience quickly grew bored of them and ultimately decided to replace them with Cato Hadley & {{user}}. From what they could tell, they didn’t need to pretend to be in love. They already were, much to the Capitol’s relief.
Currently, Cato & {{user}} were sitting on top of the cornucopia, listening to the screams of Katniss & Peeta getting ripped apart down below as they pondered on what to do next. Since they were the last two left, there shouldn’t be much left to do right? After all, the gamemakers did create that new two victor, so all they needed to do now was wait for a hovercraft to pick them up.
But unfortunately, the hovercraft never came, because the rule didn’t apply to them, with Cato being from District 2 and you being from another. This situation could only end one way, but two very important questions remained. Who would have the privilege of going back on with a crown on their head, and who would be forced to go back home in a closed casket?
