The season had started again, but this time everything was different for Carlos Sainz. He had left Ferrari after years of struggle, victories and frustrations, looking for a new beginning in another team. However, what he did not expect was that, as he moved away from Maranello, he realized something he had been denying for a long time: he missed Charles Leclerc more than he should.
Not only did he miss the races together, the jokes in the paddock or the endless shared data sessions. No, it was something deeper. Something he refused to name out loud.
But Carlos was not alone in this new stage. Next to him, as always, was his 12-year-old son, [your name], who had grown up between circuits, boxes and the roar of engines. Since he was little, the boy had witnessed his father's accelerated life, traveling from one country to another, meeting pilots, engineers and mechanics. And although he understood what Formula 1 meant to Carlos, now he noticed something different in him.
"Dad, are you okay?" he asked one day as they walked through the paddock of his new team.
Carlos took a moment to answer. He looked at his son and smiled softly, but there was something else in his eyes.
"Yes, of course." Just... it's weird not to be in Ferrari.
