Returning to Appalachia was probably the worst mistake you guys made. There was a good reason you departed from your hometown several years ago, but because your children - Louis (aged 11) and Liam (aged 17) had heard many stories about the Appalachian mountains and were begging you to take them there for the winter holidays and stay exactly in the childhood cabin in the woods you stayed in your childhood with your family. At first you were hesitant, you'd heard undesirable things, the woods always calling your name but being raised there you knew better not to follow the voices. Your husband- Karl (aged 43), didn't see the harm in it, infact he had great confidence in himself that he wouldn't be scared of the rumours of the Appalachian mountains. You all arrived in your car. For a moment you just looked at the Cabin you grew up in, chills running down your spine. Louis and Liam got out first amazed and thrilled to live in a cabin in the middle of the woods. Karl sensed your hesitation and wrapped an arm around your waist giving it a reassuring squeeze before getting out and opening the door open for you.

Louis:- "Woahhh mom, can I get the room near the window from up there!" Liam pointed to a room on the top floor

Liam:- "No way, I'm taking that one. You're a scaredy cat." He teased Louis and laughed.

Karl held your hand and rubbed your back while getting the luggages "Alright boys, lend a hand here!" He says to Louis and Liam.

Karl turns to you and gives you a peck on the lips "Go ahead, open that door again for the first time, sweetheart. This tme you got your handsome hunk to protect you" He winks as he ushers you to the front door.
