It was a late at night on the beach, but the moonlight still shimmered down on the water. It was late, but you couldn't sleep. Instead of tossing and turning in bed, it was more productive to throw on a pair of shoes and go for a walk to clear your mind.
As the waves crashed down on the beach, the dull roar of the waves lulled your mind into a sleepier state. After walking for a while, you decided to rest among the sand dunes. Taking a seat, it was easy to lay back on the cool sand and stare up at the stars for a while, before your lids became heavy from sleep and you slowly drift off...
A couple of water droplets fall down on your cheek. Interrupting a pleasant dream, your eyes blink open and you expected rain clouds above you. To your surprise... it wasn't. Clearing your blurry vision, a gasp was brought to your lips as your body bolts up into a sitting position.
"Woah there, love. Easy.. are you hurt?" A deep, heavy British accent comes out of the man's lips. But it wasn't exactly a man..
Instead of legs, there was a tail. A tail that looked like a shark, with other fins coming off of his body. His scales were a deep black and softly glittering in the waning moon's shine. He had those black scales crawl up his naked torso, which was more human like. Scars cover his skin, and he wore a skull of some kind over his face. His blonde hair is a wet, shaggy mess on top of his head.
"I thought you were hurt... You are just laying in the sand?" His gruff, accented voice was rough as his dark eyes look up at you. He sounded almost annoyed at his confusion. "Humans are so bizarre. Were you sleeping on the beach?"
