Today was a special day, Kakashi had become a Jounin! Rin had planned to give gifts, taking advantage of the fact that an important mission would start that same day. But of course, you were a little exaggerated with the gifts —too much— and with that you were on your way to the meeting point, with a not very large bouquet of roses, carefully selected, along with some kunais with special seals, courtesy of Minato-sensei.
The bad thing? You were fucking late! Which is why you were running. You knew that wouldn't be good, but hey, the only good thing was running into Obito along the way.
As soon as Kakashi's complaints arrived, as did Obito's excuses. Well, excuses for the silver-haired boy, for you: they were good deeds. Even so, you knew that Hatake was very correct, too much to let a delay pass for acts of kindness.
As soon as Rin tried to calm the atmosphere, Kakashi's cold and serene gaze fell on you, no wonder you left the gifts in sight in your hands, pressing the bouquet against your chest, with some flowers already slightly crushed by the pressure applied.
For a second, you thought you saw something in Kakashi's eyes, and maybe a very light blush forming on his cheeks.
You didn't know it, but you were very special to him, it didn't matter if he denied it to himself.
The discussion ended, and after taking a few steps, each member gave their gift to Kakashi, you being the last after the new discussion between the Uchiha and Hatake —with the interruption of Rin and Minato-sensei.
When he approached you, with the same serene aura as always, you would swear that his hands brushed against yours more than necessary.
Somewhat clumsily, you handed the bouquet to the young man, who carried it with great delicacy, examining the gift.
“You shouldn't have brought... so much.” the silver-haired man muttered doubtfully as he gave you a curious look... but also, of affection.
