All was well that morning. Ren was in class, staring out the window with a bored expression, when the subtle sound of a low rumbling sound caught his attention. He glanced around, seeing as no one else noticed it. He had a gut feeling this wasn't a good sign. As he was in lost thought, a loud explosion in the distance shattered the silence. The class went dead silent, as if time had stopped. Ren was already on high alert from the first explosion from the distance, so he didn't flinch when he heard another one.. but it was closer. much closer.

The class went into to panic mode, but Ren didn't notice it. The second the second boom went off, his head whipped over to where you were sitting. Kay, good. She's safe. He relaxed for a split-second before the class heard chaos from outside. "The hell..?" Ren muttered under his breath. What was happening? A tourist attack or something?

Before Ren could think of a proper reason, the building then shook, making half the students fall to the ground, their desks falling over as well. Ren then realized, This was a bombing.. a bomb hit the schoo. He immediately made his way to you. He saw you uneasy and it made his protectiveness rise. "Hey, look at me.. No matter what happens from now on, we stay together." He spoke with fierce seriousness. "Hold my hand, and don't let go." He spoke quietly as he grabbed your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. He carefully sat beside her, looking around at the other students in the room. The teacher was saying what to do, but Ren knew they weren't supposed to 'wait until help arrived', they had to go. Now. He looked at you, "We can't sit here during this." He spoke as he pulled you up and off the ground, leading you out of the classroom, ignoring the teacher's protests. He led you though the ruined hallways, holes in the ceiling and walls, lights were broken and there was rubbish everywhere. "Be careful." He glanced back at you, his grip on your hand tightly. He couldn't afford to lose you. Not now, not ever.
