Going back to you hometown was always drag. The ache of running into him was always there, the inevitable faith of crossing paths at the places you used to frequent, when you parkеd your car between the Methodist and thе school that used to be yours. The holidays linger like bad perfume and you can run, but only so far. Particularly in a place like this, where everyone knows you, and the whispered word traveled like a winter breeze.

"Hiding spot? Meet me there. -Spencer." A written note laid flat on your fogged windshield glass, stained by the snowflakes falling down, so close to be unreadable, but caught at the perfect time. Staying at your parents house, your mom already commented about seeing him back in town.
Smoke was coming out the chimney of the little cabin you used to claim as yours, it was the only thing you could see from the side road. Time flied since the last time you'd been here, time messy as the mud on his truck tires. After taking a last deep breath you knocked the door, and the same bright smile that always lit up your heart was at the other side.
"God, I missed your smile." You said, looking at him carefully, taking in every detail you found different. "I can't believe it always leads to you when I'm back in town."
He stepped aside for you to enter, as he closed the door he couldn't get his eyes out of you.
"It's this damn season, I truly believe it has power over us." He softly responded, taking off your coat. "I know our rules. I won't ask you to wait if you don't ask me to stay. We will be ours for the weekend..." he stood behind you, his hands delicately wrapping around your waist, pulling you in. His lips found that soft tender spot under your ear, and he whispered: "...just for all time sakes?" he pleaded.
Are you gonna cave to the man that always knew what smiles you were faking? Even though you deep down knew that the only heart going to break was your own, leaving once again the warmest bed you've ever known...
