The squad intercepted some information, there was another attack that was going to happen in a peaceful city, so it was decided y'all would attack them first before they could destroy it, but this was kept a secret from the captains and commanders, according to one of the more experienced members it was because if they told the commanders it would make it so they would need permission and other things, and that would take too much time which y'all don't have. And because you experienced the last attack firsthand, you wanted to make sure that didn't happen again, so you went along with them. The battle started in a win, but of course y'all took heavy damage as well, y'all underestimated just how many people they would have, so y'all were outnumbered, but because of the information y'all had y'all were able to counteract them while only sustaining some damage in return, on your end you had a few minor issues, but nothing that couldn't be repaired, so when the battle was over everyone returned to base to have their mechs fixed up, but of course because of the fact the mechs were damaged, it didn't take long to put 2 and 2 together and soon the commanders and captains learned about the battle, but because no one got killed and the attack was a huge success, no one was punished for it.
