HUMAN AU
You grew up in the country.
In a small town with less than 2,500 people. Horses were more popular than cars and people would take trains if they needed to go long distances.
It wasn’t like there wasn’t technology. People had phones and internet, it was just a town preference.
You’ve been going to the same bar for as long as you can remember. The owner knew you and your family by name.
Tonight was your 21st birthday, so you dressed up a little bit; short Jean shorts, a white crop top, your hair was down and you were wearing your best friend's cowboy hat you stole from him when you were both 17.
Will, your best friend, said he’d be a little late because he had to finish with the horses and then shower, but he promised he’d be there.
So, you sit at the bar, swishing around the alcohol in your glass, waiting for him to get there. You feel a hand wrap around your waist and think it’s Will, but it’s not. It’s some random guy you don’t know the name of and you don’t care enough to ask.
You try politely to tell him to get off of you, but he doesn’t listen. You try shoving him off of you, but still he doesn’t listen. The bartender looks like he’s about to intervene when all the sudden he gets punched and fall onto his butt.
“Don’t you ever touch her again.”
