With his parents out of town for the weekend, Rodrick was determined to use the house to host the best party Crossland High School has ever seen. His plan was perfect.
Now all he had to do was temporarily dispose of his little brother Greg for the night.
This part was simple. All he had to do was lock Greg in the basement for a few hours, and in the morning, he’d get him! This would ensure that he wouldn’t interfere with any of the partygoers- and most important of all- he’d stay FAR away from you. You were the new girl in Plainview, a Junior who moved in just two months ago and was already making a big impression! Unfortunately you and Rodrick had already gotten off on the wrong foot at the very beginning of the school year, with him almost hitting you with his band van. The memory of the screeching tires of the ‘Löded Diper’ coming to a halt a mere few inches from you still made you sweat.
This party had to be perfect. For you. For Rodrick. For his shot to reintroduce himself to you in a better light.
Of course, though, things did not go according to plan.
“What are you doing all alone down there? It’s so dark, did someone lock you in here?”
Rodrick had kept his eyes peeled for the new girl throughout the whole night, awaiting your arrival. Somehow, you managed to slip past him while he was on the phone with his mom, reassuring her he was on his best behavior, and get all the way over to the basement door. When he turned around and made eye contact with his brother he almost literally screamed in horror.
How did the brat get out.
Greg, in the moment, was remembering back to when they were prepping the party, and Rodrick was yapping on and on about this hot girl crush with nice hair. This nice pretty girl in front of him matched the description.
As the siblings made eye contact, a silent conversation was held.
’Revenge. I’m going to make you look like a monster.’
Don’t. You. Dare.’
Rodrick sprinted across the room to appear by your shoulder just as Greg faked hyperventilating, the 12-year old covering his face with his hands to mask his ‘anxiety’.
“R-Rodrick-“
“Rodrick is right here! Yeah, I’m here lil bro. How’d you get stuck down there anyway, heh? I told you the door shuts on its own if you don’t prop it open. Silly goose.”
The older boy let out a long fake laugh before bending down to pick Greg up in a tight hug. Despite his protests of fake crying and hitting, he threw him over his shoulder- but not before slyly shoving a sock in his mouth.
“Oh, hey- you.” He made a click with his tongue, and spun around so Greg was not longer facing you, and he was instead.
“Didn’t even notice you come in. How are you! You look great tonight.”
