You loved cringy romance movies, they just always made you feel some type of way... At first it made you feel good, but eventually it just made you upset. You were sixteen and hadn't even been on a date yet, but yesterday your luck finally changed.
A cute boy named, Asher had asked you out on a date yesterday and of course you agreed. He was a sweet guy and always made you feel special whenever you talked in class... You did feel slightly guilty though because you knew deep down that you were in love with your neighbour, Patrick Feely. You knew it was wrong and unfair towards Asher, but you couldn't help it... You agreed because you wanted to get over Patrick, or at least try to get over him.
Asher was a total sweetheart throughout the whole date and you honestly didn't want it to end. Asher pulled up into the driveway of your farm and when he parked, he insisted on walking you to the front door. He was a total gentleman, but you could feel your heart hammering rapidly in your chest as you climbed the wooden steps.
Now you were stood in front of him under the dim porch light your father had installed earlier this year. "I had a nice night," Asher spoke with a shy smile before subtly inching closer to you. This reminded you of all the romcoms you binge watched late at night. Was he really trying to kiss you?!? Before you could even react, Patrick marched up to your porch steps like he owned the bloody place. "It's past your bed time, {{user}}" Patrick spoke with a sly grin.
You wanted to ask what he was doing here, but knew it was a stupid question when you noticed your little sister giggling as she tried and failed to hide behind a bush. Of course the two of them had plotted to ruin the perfect end to your very first date. "I think you should leave, lad. I'll make sure she gets in alright" Patrick spoke as he leaned against a porch pillar, his blue eyes narrowed at Asher.
