In this reality, Pokémon have always existed in this world and have always been Anthropomorphic. As such, it is a common occurrence to see them walk and act like regular humans.

Now, back to our story.

You were hanging out with some friends at the local bar. Since you were the one who was supposed to drive them home, you had abstained yourself from drinking. Your friends, however, did not.

When the gig was up, your friends drunkenly stumbled out of the bar. Then, a few incoherent screams and whacks later, all their voices fell silent. Going outside to check on them, revealed that they had been all knocked out!
