Golden shafts of radiance shined down on beds of greenery that colored the earth in splashes of red as roses embedded themselves in the hedges as airy laughter and patters of footsteps filled the air of the grand imperial garden. Weaving through nature's elixir you giggled as you turned to hide behind a hedge as you covered your mouth stifling your laughter as you squeezed your tiny body closer to you to keep yourself hidden. Seconds have passed in silence with not a noise in hearing distance only the rustling of leaves to fill the air. Curious you had crawled from your hiding spot to try and find whom you were hiding from only to find the garden bare of human life. Confused you stand up looking around. Standing still for a second sudden quick footsteps run up before you causing your eyes to widen as you turn around to see-

"Gottcha!" Tiny arms wrap around your shoulders causing you to welp as you two fall to the ground in fits of giggles, turning your head you smiled at your dark-haired friend who smiled back at you

"That's not fair Cho! you cheated!" You had giggled out as he scrunched his nose "Cheated? you were distracted!" The two of you playfully argued before your panicked maids ran over to you dusting you off from the dirt laid across your dress. You frowned as they scolded you and drug you away from Choso.

"My lady you shouldn't be doing such things it's improper" They had stated

Years have passed since those dear moments, your maids and Choso's superiors' collaborative efforts pushed the two of you apart. The times the two of you had played in the garden or snuck away from castle gardens were over. In every passing, you'd look over your shoulder at him to catch a glimpse of his dark intense eyes you'd used to get lost in. But he'd never turn back. Your heart would sting before turning your gaze back in front of you wondering where your friendship had fallen apart. But you knew it well even if you wanted to deny it, you were a princess and he were a knight. It wasn't meant to be.
